The Legend that Conquers

(*The following work is to be read to the In-your-head-voice styling’s of James Earl Jones. Please tune into his voice before beginning. Thank you, and enjoy your flight)

So it has begun…

On moonless nights such as this, when the wind howls against shut windows,

And the fear of what lurks in the darkness forces children with clenched eyes under blankets.

There is a prophecy that is foretold, one of heroics,

A tale of a hero, who against all odds, stood before any adversary.

That prophecy goes as follows…

He may wobble,

He may weeble.

But he will never fall down.

Thus the prophecy is spoken,

About Slap-Happy the Inflatable clown…

Told throughout the generations, the prophecy brings hope to the hopeless,

Sight to the sightless,

Butter to the butterless.

But, there is more,

The legend that gives goosebumps to the fearless,

Spine tingles to the spineless…

Who, I said who amongst you wears Short Shorts?

I wear short shorts.

Yes, I wear short shorts as well. Words of the Gods.

Now go, adventure into that moonless night with the knowledge I have bestowed upon you.

And find what you seek.

For only the best of the best get invited to P. Diddy’s parties.

Hey, I'm Mike, and i love to write. It truly is the last known form to truly be immortal. I was in the Air Force, until a brain tumor forced my discharge. But even without that, I still have the almighty pen & paper. I write everything, but horror is my hobby, and poetry is my passion.
