I felt the thorns dig into my skin
your words were a lot worse
they took my breath away
the way you lied over and over
lying about how you feel
promises were broken before
in the end I trusted no one
but Him alone, and Him only
why can’t you be true with me
all I want is the best answer
yet you showered me with lies
it’s nice I never loved you
I’ve always loved only one
and he never fooled me
but he’s out of my life
